About RDA

RDA is an autonomous institution and its governing authority is the Board of Governors (BoG) headed by the Honourable Adviser / Minister for local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD&C). The BoG is comprised of 21 members represented by high-level administrators, academicians and development professional of the country. The Director General of the Academy is the Member-Secretary of the board and acts as the Chief Executive. In a capsule, the BoG determines policies, approves annual the Academy. As a linkage to the Government of Bangladesh, RDA is attached to the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division of the Ministry of LGRD&C.
